Definition of quota

A per-process limit on the use of system resources. For each process, the system sets limits on certain system resources that the process’s threads can use, for example, the memory manager.

A revenue objective specified as a monetary amount that has been assigned to a salesperson for a specified fiscal period.

A per-user limit on cloud capacity usage.- A quota can consist of several dimensions such as CPUs, memory, storage, virtual machines, and so on.
