Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Chandrababu Naidu was on 2 May 2017 selected for any'Transformative Chief Minister Award'of this the US-India Business Council (USIBC).He was selected for his role in advancing the US-India partnership at their state level. The award will be presented to him on 8 May 2017 inside the USIBC West Coast Summit in the Silicon Valley.


 


The summit will even honour Aruna Sundararajan with the ‘Transformative Leadership Award'for excellence in public service.Last year's recipient of USIBC Award was Amitabh Kant, CEO of Niti Aayog.What is the focus of USIBC West Coast Summit?• USIBC West Coast Summit will convene 150 industry leaders from various sectors to research the impacts of manufacturing in India, India's move towards digitisation, a cashless society and therefore the way forward for the US-India trade relations. • Participants will discuss key issues just like how Internet of Things (IoTs), smart city planning, and manufacturing issues are shaping the way forward for the US-India technology partnership.• Led by USIBC chairman and Cisco Executive Chairman, John Chambers, the summit and others will feature India's Union Cabinet Minister for Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT Aruna Sundararajan.• The firms that should attend the summit include Amazon, Paypal, Deloitte, Facebook, Nuveen, Mastercard, Dell, TransAsia, Varian Medical, Visa among others.
